HELP YOUR DIRECT MAIL CAMPAIGN PROCEED SMOOTHLY
The post office has a few regulations when it comes to designing your postcards. You can help ensure delivery of your direct mail campaign by complying with these regulations, as they are necessary for proper automated handling by the post office.
Back Side Layout Requirements
The back side of your postcard where the address appears must comply with the proper template and zone requirements below. If you are submitting a postcard design to us for our direct mailing services, we require compliance with these regulations.
If we are designing your postcard, we will automatically follow these zone requirements as we prepare your postcard design for mailing.
Gray Zone
Do not include any text or graphics in this area. The only text allowed in the addressing area is the recipient mailing address, which will be added by Online Prints as your direct mail company.
Yellow Zone
Make sure there are no addresses with a zip code and state appearing in this zone of the design, as the post office will scan this entire area for recipient addresses and zip codes. The proper mailing addresses will be added in this area by Online Prints as your direct mail company.
If you do have an address with a zip code and state in this area as part of your postcard design, you run the risk of your postcards being returned to you during the postal automation process. If you want to display an address in this area, make sure it does not contain a state or zip code.
